Designing Signs: Beauty, Balance and Brand

4 Often Overlooked Ways to Advertise Your Business With Signage

Having signs for your storefront is not unusual, because, of course, customers need to be able to easily find your business and the entrance. However, there are many other advertising opportunities when it comes to using signage that business owners often overlook. Many of these are affordable and can get your name and company in front of potential customers and clients very easily. Note a few of them here.

1. Signage on a vehicle

Bumper stickers and magnetic signs are good for vehicles, but to really get your company name in front of people, you might consider having your entire vehicle painted. A signage painting company will use the shape of your logo or other parts of your company brand and work it around the shape of your car and ensure that everything can easily be seen by other drivers. This gives you a means of advertising every time you drive your car or a delivery vehicle is on the road.

2. Wall art

Wall art can be placed in another building to advertise your business. It can look like street art or a collage or any other style you want. Wall art can be hand-painted on a wall or it can involve printed wallpaper that is easy to remove when needed.

3. Window signage

Window signage can be used on your own business to attract customers and to advertise to customers who are already in your building. This signage might include special sales or new arrivals, or it might be slogans that are effective in getting customers to actually enter your establishment. Window signage is easy to paint onto the windows, or you might have signs printed that are meant to be displayed in the window, and you can easily rotate these throughout the year.

4. A-boards

A-boards or sandwich boards are often used for restaurants to advertise their daily special, but these can also be used by any business in an area where there is a lot of foot traffic to get the attention of pedestrians walking by. Remember that as people walk they often tend to keep their head down to see where they're going, so they may miss the sign over your door. An A-board or sandwich board can catch their eyes and alert them to a sale or even just to your business itself. It's an effective and affordable way of turning those pedestrians into customers and getting them through your door.
